New York City Council Speaker Julie Menin & Councilmember Eric Dinowitz have introduced legislation to instate "buffer zones" around houses of worship & schools, under the auspices of combatting antisemitism. 

We know these bills were written to crack down on protest, and grant NYPD full discretion around what types of speech and assembly are acceptable. The bills are being finalized now, and will head to a vote by the end of this month. The time is now to make sure the Council hears our opposition!
