This Chanukah, Join the #JewishResistance!

Between now and the inauguration on January 20th, we want as many Jews as possible to sign the Jewish Resistance Pledge to fight the policies of the incoming administration. This Chanukah, sign the Jewish Resistance Pledge, and for the eight nights of the holiday, invite at least eight friends or members of your family to take the pledge as well. We want to show the forces of hate and intolerance just how strong and committed we are to fighting back!

Chanukah is a celebration of Jewish Resistance in ancient times. What a perfect moment to rededicate ourselves to our deep tradition of fighting oppression. And start the New Year as part of a powerful movement ready to resist the tide of bigotry we’re now facing.

Join the #JewishResistance!

Across the country, communities are preparing to resist the rising tide of xenophobia, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. Jews from all walks of life are uniting to be part of this effort of Jewish Resistance to oppression!
At JFREJ, we are already working closely with our partners in Muslim, Arab and South Asian communities to develop resistance strategies that benefit all of us. We have worked with a coalition of Jewish organizations to turn out hundreds of people to protest the white nationalist anti-Semitism of the incoming administration. We have created trainings and resources on combatting anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. And we are as committed as ever to the Black Lives Matter movement, and to fighting for racial and economic justice.
In the coming weeks and months, we will need Jews to show up as never before. To stand up for ourselves, and to fight for our neighbors in communities being targeted by discrimination and violence. There will be opportunities for everyone to play a part: Jews of every age; folks who have never considered themselves political; people from all across the spectrum of our community — if you are committed to defeating the forces of hate, we need all of you to take action. Jews have been resisting oppression for 5777 years — we’ve seen this before. Join the Jewish Resistance today.

You’re ready already.
