Join the Raised Poor & Working Class Caucus for a shabbat lunch potluck at Battery Park!
Meet us near the Carousel, right by the memorial. Bring a lunch offering to share that meets your own dietary needs, and bring friends and loved ones with you. It's a time to meet, connect, and relax together.
The Raised Poor & Working Class Caucus at JFREJ is made of people who share an experience of having grown up poor or working class. Some of us have mixed-class backgrounds that include being poor or working class, some have different class experiences now than when they were growing up or are partnered with a person of a different class background. Not all of us grew up Jewish, and some of us are still as economically fragile as when we were growing up. The caucus is to create space to join together to build community and strengthen our class-based organizing within JFREJ by building the leadership of poor & working class members. If you think this caucus might be for you, shabbat lunch is a great place to connect. If you have any questions, please contact Mackenzie Reynolds at mackenzie@jfrej.org.
