Next Tuesday, November 10th will be a National Day of Action in the movement to bring a living wage to fast food workers. There are protests planned in 270 cities and workers will strike to demand wages that keep them off of food stamps and living with dignity.
Nice and early — with plenty of time for you to get to work — JFREJ will be joining fast food workers and other Jewish organizations from around the city in the streets to stand up for a $15 dollar-an-hour living wage. We need you there with us.
Please join your JFREJ friends for this important action. It will be lots of early-morning fun and afterwards we’ll go out for community breakfast. That’s a ton of justice before the day even begins!
- Meet at Cadman Plaza West & Tillary Street, Brooklyn NY at 5:30AM
- Shortly thereafter we’ll march over and rally outside the McDonalds at 82 Court Street
- At 7AM join JFREJ for breakfast or head to work
- Please RSVP below for the event to receive details and last minute-changes updates
For those coming from upper Manhattan, there will be a bus leaving from 116th Street & Broadway at 4:30AM headed directly for the rally. Email leo@jfrej.org if you'd like to be on it.
