Join us for our first Caring Majority Assembly at Penn South. This is a chance to build community and share stories, learn about what's planned for the months ahead, and plug into this exciting new program.
The Caring Majority Campaign is a partnership of Jews For Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ), Hand in Hand: The Domestic Employers Network, Golden Steps Eldercare Cooperative, and Caring Across Generations. Our goal is to build a strong and sustainable caring economy that works for everyone: caregivers - both paid professionals and unpaid family members - and those receiving care and support, in particular seniors and people with disabilities.
We are excited to work with YOU to kick this campaign into gear. Together, we will be completing a first-of-its-kind participatory action research project about employers of home care workers; shaping these findings into policy recommendations, and bringing together the different stakeholders who make up the caring economy [seniors, domestic workers/home care workers, people with disabilities, and family caregivers] to advocate and organize for the kinds of policies we need to create high quality jobs in the care sector and affordable and accessible care for all who need it.
This is the right time for creative, innovative and bold solutions to the growing care crisis. We hope you'll join us! RSVP to rachel@jfrej.org
