In 2012, Ramarley Graham was shot and killed by NYPD Officer Richard Haste in his family’s Bronx home in front of his grandmother and 6-year-old brother. This happened after officers unlawfully busted into the house without a warrant, probable cause or any other legal justification.
Repeating the pattern we have seen again and again in New York and across the country, the Bronx DA failed to successfully prosecute Officer Haste and he remains free.
Thanks to organizing and the tireless efforts of Ramarley's mother, Constance Malcolm, father Frank Graham, and advocates, the Department of Justice has opened an investigation into this case. It's time for the DOJ to prosecute all officers responsible for Ramarley's death.
