Join us for an alternative, political, interactive, and Mizrahi-centric set of rituals and delicious potluck dinner!
This is the third annual seder the Mizrachi Caucus at JFREJ is hosting! In our Caucus, we have been working to identify and confront the intersections between white supremacy, Ashkenazi dominance, and anti-Arab racism, as well as Islamophobia, anti-Jewish oppression, and Christian hegemony. Through organizing, political education, and community building, we have been working to unearth and reclaim our shared histories of displacement, diaspora, and erasure in order to powerfully position ourselves for the liberation of Mizrahi Jews that, we believe, must come with the liberation of all people. Please join us as we continue to build this important work, and to build community with other like-minded Mizrahi folks in NYC!
Since this Seder will be potluck style, please bring a dish that is meaningful to you or your family history. If you don’t have access to any of the necessary ingredients you would need to make that happen before then, you can also bring whatever you’d like. We will be coordinating food-related details once we get all of our RSVPs.
Space is limited and we will confirm location once your space is confirmed. Please be sure to
RSVP by Sunday, April 16th.
This event is open to Jews who identify as Mizrahi or Sephardi
