October Neighborhood Groups Meetings

JFREJ neighborhood groups are meeting again at the end of this month - sign up to join an October gathering near you today!

What: October Neighborhood Groups

When: October 24th - 28th

Where: in-person or virtually (depending on the group)

This past year, our neighborhood groups learned about the political landscape of our city and participated in the biggest candidate endorsement process our organization has ever embarked on. In early spring, we delved into our fight to win #FairPay4HomeCare and pass the #NYHealthAct. As we approached the summer, we focused on our fight to #DefundNYPD and invest in community-based responses to violence. This fall, we’re digging into disability justice, before gearing up to launch and recruit leaders for our upcoming 2022 cycle.

*Please note: any in-person neighborhood group gatherings will be outdoors, masked, socially distanced, and in line with our organizational policy on in-person events during the COVID-19 pandemic.*

BROOKLYN

Note: The breakdown of these groups is not only based on neighborhoods but also the concentration of members in each area and the number of trained facilitators. For that reason, some groups include a larger geographic area than others. If your neighborhood isn’t listed, go ahead and sign up, and we’ll put you in the closest neighborhood to you! **If you’ve already signed up for a group in 2021, there’s no need to register again. We have your info!**

Once you sign up, we’ll assign you to a neighborhood group and share either the in-person location or the zoom link to join.

And don’t forget: neighborhood groups are for members, so join or renew today at this link in order to participate! Dues are suggested at $5 a month or $36 a year, sliding scale.
