On Friday, March 18th at 12:00 pm, please join home care providers, workers and consumers for the launch of Providers for Fair Pay! Home care providers employ an essential workforce who provide lifesaving care to older adults and disabled New Yorkers. Yet as reimbursement rates have declined as minimum wage for other sectors rises, it is increasingly more challenging to provide competitive and thriving wages for this critical work. Providers and fiscal intermediaries call for the inclusion of Fair Pay for Home Care in this year's budget to uplift this essential workforce, care for consumers, help recruit and retain staff, and address the workforce shortage.

With only three weeks in the state budget fight left, now is the time to raise all our voices in calling for Fair Pay for Home Care. Please join us for this rally to ensure we uplift home care workers in this year's state budget!
Home Care providers and fiscal intermediaries know that home care workers are an essential and lifesaving - yet underpaid - workforce, primarily made up of women of color and immigrants. At this press event, providers, home care workers and consumers will join together to call for Fair Pay for Home Care’s inclusion in the budget as a way to uplift this essential workforce, care for older adults and disabled New Yorkers, and help providers recruit and retain staff.
