Divahn’s recent album, Shalhevet, features original interpretations of traditional Sephardi/Mizrahi Jewish songs that blend lush string arrangements, eclectic Indian, Middle Eastern, and Latin percussion, and vocals spanning Hebrew, Persian, and Arabic traditions. This concert caps off the weekend of the installation of Rabbi Michelle Dardashti as Rabbi of Kane Street Synagogue, and is also a pre-Hanukkah celebration. Led by JFREJ's Mizrahi & Sephardi Caucus, JFREJ is proudly co-sponsoring this event.
