The mayor is once again cutting funding from our city’s public libraries; beacons of safety and access for all New Yorkers. He is ignoring the pleas of families who frequent libraries, people who rely on libraries for internet access, cultural organizations that hold public programming in libraries, and countless New Yorkers for whom libraries are a refuge.
Not on our watch...JFREJ ♡ BPL! Join JFREJ members in central Brooklyn outside the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library to make sure our neighbors know about the mayor's attack on public libraries. We'll be handing out flyers to spread the word and urge people to take action to secure full funding for our vital city services and public institutions.
