On December 20th, after tons of hard work by JFREJ members and our partners, the New York City Council passed the How Many Stops Act, a package of critical NYPD transparency measures. But Mayor Adams — who rejects even the most basic accountability for his friends in the police unions — has threatened to veto the bills. We need to keep pressure on the city council to ensure we have the votes to override a veto until the 30 day deadline has passed.
Join us at City Hall on Wednesday, January 17th at 10am as we demand that the mayor respect our democracy and sign the How Many Stops Act into law.
