Protest Mayor Eric Adams' State of the City

Join your fellow New Yorkers for a multi-issue protest at Mayor Eric Adams’ State of the City address. Let's show that our caring vision of New York City—NOT Mayor Adams’ corrupt agenda—is what New Yorkers want!

Since entering office, Mayor Adams has implemented policies that have only made life harder for working-class New Yorkers. Under Mayor Adams’ leadership, we’ve seen:

  • Budget cuts to education, childcare, parks, and many care-based city services.
  • Rent increases for tenants and housing policies that favor profits over people.
  • Corruption and pay-to-play practices that have put millions of public dollars to waste and diverted the administration's attention away from managing the city to the mayor’s indictment and legal battles.
  • Rollbacks on jail reform and expanding NYPD power & abuse. Mayor Adams has brought back stop-and-frisk and doubled the jail population and refused to close Rikers after advocates won on these issues.
  • Xenophobic rhetoric and policies that blame his own failures like budget cuts and contract mismanagement on vulnerable people like newly arrived immigrants and give fuel to hateful forces in our city and nation that make all of our communities less safe.

We’re coming together to demand better for our city—better funding for education and public services, housing justice, real community safety, and leadership that puts the needs of the people first.
