JFREJ is thrilled to invite all members in good standing to participate in our interviews of Mayoral candidates seeking our endorsement in 2025! Please RSVP and join us, even if you can only make it for a portion of the event.

Rough schedule, subject to change: 10am start, 10:15am Zohran Mamdani interview, 11:00am Brad Lander interview, 12:00pm Jessica Ramos interview, Debrief/discuss, 1:30pm close. If you'd like to also join for the interview of Zellnor Myrie, that'll be taking place on Thursday 2/27 at 5pm. RSVP for that here.

What to expect? We will send out materials like the candidates' questionnaires, and our JFREJ endorsement rubric before the interview to RSVPd participants. On the call, members will interview the candidates, one at a time. We'll have a little time between each interview to debrief and decompress, with a longer debrief at the end.

Who can participate? Only dues-paying members of JFREJ (a contribution in the last 12 months) are allowed to participate in these interviews. Please no paid campaign staffers or other candidates on our JFREJ call (you're welcome to be there while your candidate is being interviewed). What happens afterwards? After the interviews are over, everyone will have an opportunity to vote in a straw poll about the candidates and whether/how we should endorse. We'll have a membership assembly soon after where all JFREJ members are invited to debate and discuss the candidates. After the assembly and the straw poll, the JFREJ Endorsements & Research Team along with Team Planet (our representative member-leader body) will make a final decision.
